Have fun with a summer reading challenge for moms!
The Summer Reading Challenge for Moms is the perfect way to add some fun to your reading! Many of us are printing off the challenges for our kids and it is time for us to join in on the fun! Jaclyn and I created this as a way to encourage moms to crack open the books!
Do you love to read but feel like you don’t have the time to read now that you have kids? You are not alone.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
We can find the time to read, even with kids around! Keep reading for tips to find the time, after I share how to have this fun challenge with friends!

Invite a friend!
This bingo challenge is the perfect activity to do with a friend. Invite a fellow book-loving friend to join you in the challenge! You could even invite a whole group. At the end of the summer celebrate together!
Start reading!
The bingo card is fun because it encourages us all to read a variety of books. I love Anne Bogel’s Summer Reading list for great book recommendations!
Tips to find time to read as a mom:
- Have a daily reading time and when your kids read, you read too!
- Read while the kids play.
- Get on your library’s website and put holds on the books you want to read. This is a lifesaver because then when they are ready you can pick them up. Trying to find a book when you have a toddler is a challenge we do not need to face.
- Read before bed instead of scrolling the phone.

So excited to start this challenge! I lobe your ideas for reading more. I just started reading before bed and it helps me fall asleep:)
This sounds like such a fun challenge! I mentioned on Jaclyn’s blog that I’ve been slacking in the reading department lately. I might need to join this and get myself in gear!
I️ definitely need to incorporate more reading into my life! Before kids, I️ could read a book in a day – now I️ can’t imagine having that much free time! haha
Oh my gosh, how fun is this?! I love it! Great way to get motivated to read more!
Thank you! Yes, I love reading but have to remember to make the time.
