Create tie-dye shirts.
Tie-dye is always fun to make at home! My kids loved doing this last summer. You can order your supplies online here.
Make a backyard obstacle course.
This is always a hit and you can use what you already have. Use yard chairs, jump ropes, slides, etc. Use what you have to create a fun obstacle course at home. Then take turns trying it out.
Play with water beads.
Water beads are so much fun to play with. I prefer to use outside as they can get all over the place. They are great for water tables.
Camp out at home.
You can do this either in your living room or in the back yard. This is a fun way to be together as a family and do something different at home.
Create ice eggs for your kids to play with.
These are so much fun! You put a small toy in a balloon and then add water. Let it freeze and you are set with fun ice eggs for your kids to explore. Check out the full directions here.
Do a spring scavenger hunt.
As things are starting to bloom, it is a great time to look for signs of spring. Grab this free printable scavenger hunt to use.

Our spring break starts on Friday and we have been working on a list of things to do. At first I was really bummed, because we had a trip planned, but it was fun getting creative with things to do at home. Great ideas here!
Yes, same here. They can have fun and it will be good not to have the schoolwork!
It’s hard to believe you all are just going on Spring Break. Ours was almost a month ago!! Looks like your kids are going to have a fun one. Enjoy!
I Know! Ours is always at Easter every year.
Love these ideas! My girls are spending so much time outside right now and I️ stocked their Easter baskets up with lots of chalk, bubbles and Play-Doh so they’ll stay busy! <3
So smart! Play-Doh and Chalk go along way!
Love all of these ideas Keri! I used to love making big balloons as a teacher, I need to try this with Caroline now!
