Looking for Christ-centered Easter family activities? These simple traditions are meaningful, hands-on, and creative ways to connect as a family during the Easter season.
Last year I searched for Christ-centered Easter family activities because I was determined to find ways to connect the truth with my kids. Easter has always been one of those holidays I have struggled to figure out how to navigate as a family. I knew I wanted the kids to connect with the Gospel during Easter, not just the candy and egg hunts. During Christmas, it is easy to talk about baby Jesus and the nativity, but Easter is a little harder to help little ones understand.
As we started searching for some Christ-centered Easter family activities, I was excited to find there are tons of excellent family activities! Here are some of the best Christ-centered Easter family activities!

Easter Countdown Cards
We absolutely loved using these beautiful cards from Crew + Co last year. They come in a bag so you can store year after year. Each card has a Bible verse on it and is paired with a story from The Jesus Storybook Bible.
Easter Story Egg
This is an excellent hands-on activity for kids from Star Kids. We love having our Story Egg sit out so the kids can open it up and go through each part whenever they please. We also sit down and go through each of the eggs along with the book. You can use this during Holy Week leading up to Easter or all at once.
Story Egg Scripture Cards
These cards are perfect for adding a little excitement in building to Easter. Every day you can hide one card with some candy or just by itself.
You’ve Been Egged
We LOVE this fun idea! It is a great way to share some love with others! Read all about You’ve Been Egged here.
Resurrection Eggs
This is a favorite of ours to do every single year. Check out how to put it together here!
Resurrection Rolls
We always love making the Resurrection Rolls! I was shocked the first time we made them at how well it went! It is a great visual for the kids.
Easter Snack Mix
Kids love snacks and this is a great way to share about Easter with kids because it involves so many of the senses! There is a free printable to help your family have fun with this activity.
Easter Scavenger Hunt
For Easter morning, you can use these scavenger hunt cards to lead your kids to their Easter baskets.
Easter Basket Object Lesson
This is an excellent object lesson for elementary-aged kids involving the Easter baskets.
Resurrection Garden
This hands-on activity is a favorite as the kids get to construct their own Easter scene. When we did this activity, I was shocked at how much the kids loved it. Not only is it hands-on, but it is also very interactive and lets your kids be creative.
Intentional Easter Family Kit
Celebrate Easter starting on the first day of Lent with this fun family kit. It includes daily verse cards, a weekly family Easter activity, and a printable banner. This is a great way to focus on Jesus as we lead up to Easter and can be easily added to our daily rhythms.
