Are you looking to create a peaceful living room? The living room is a place of gathering, relaxing, and entertaining and a place we want to be peaceful. As a mom, my goal is for our home to be a haven. This does take some intention to cultivate so let’s dive into some tips for the living room.
5 Ways to Create a Peaceful Living Room with Elegar
1. Eliminate the clutter.
Taking time to eliminate the clutter from your living room will make a huge difference. The living room can become a catch all of random things. Take time daily to do a quick clean up.
It can be helpful to have a basket in here to hold any toys if you have little ones.
2. Add in blankets.
Everyone loves cozy blankets and the living room is where we all love to snugle up with them. I love having a crate that holds blankets for us all to use. Our current favorite blanket in the house is a fleece throw. It is so soft and perfect for the living room. You can use the code EKVDKEEZ to get 10% off! This expires on April, 29th, 2032.
3. Give items a landing zone in your living room.
I love to use baskets and crates to give all of the items a home. The remote goes in a circular basket along with the X-Box controllers. The blankets go in the crate, etc. When items have a home to live in, things look clean up and peaceful.
4. Have some plants in the living room.
Plants add everything to a space! My favorite plants in our living room are pothos plates. Choose a container that matches your home decor and add in some lovely plants to brighten up the room.
I also love using baskets to contain plants! There are tons of great options on Amazon.
5. Use lamps for dimmer lighting.
There is something about having dimmer, softer light that creates a peaceful environment. Add in a lamp or two to use in the evenings for softer light.
