As a mom, I am all about having practical tools in our home to help us thrive. Our dry erase calendar is one of my favorite tools. Plans are always changing so it has been so great to be able to simply erase! Plus, we are able to see the entire month laid out before us. This can be very helpful as I may not realize how busy we have become. There have been many times that I have seen our schedule and pulled back to create more white space.
There are a few different ways you can make your own dry erase calendar.
Get an old frame to use. Either use this frame or just use the glass out of it.
Build the frame (or use the old one!).
Paint the frame. I liked using a gray chalk paint and then distressing.
Draw out the grid. Use poster board, Sharpie and ruler.
Put it all together! If you built your own frame, you can use a staple gun to help hold the glass in.
Ta-da, you have your own dry erase calendar! I still use my Simplified Planner because I am a pen and paper girl, but I love having this visual out for the entire family to see. At the beginning of every month, I can erase the previous month and write out the new month. We keep our dry erase calendar on the wall near the command center. It is helpful to have all of the family organizational items in one space.
