Earth day activities that your kids will love!
Earth day activities are always so much fun because they are a great way to enjoy nature! We love looking for ways to enjoy the outdoors. These activities are great for families to do together!
Earth Day Activities for Kids
Head on a nature scavenger hunt.
Enjoy your backyard or neighborhood and head on a little nature hunt! Print off the free printable and have your kids look for the items!
Make leaf rubbings.
Go on a leaf hunt around your yard. Using white paper and a crayon, make a leaf rubbing. Look at the different leaves and designs. Talk about how God has made everything unique and on purpose.
Plant something.
The options are endless. You could plant a flower, plant a potted garden, or even plant a garden! I have found that starting small and slowly growing more has been a great method.
Make bird feeders.
You can recycle milk cartons or jugs to create bird feeders. Or make one using peanut butter, birdseed, and an empty toilet paper roll.
Pick up trash.
Go on a walk around your neighborhood and pick up the trash. When we did this, we wore gloves and had a couple of trash bags with us. It is such a simple way to serve your community and celebrate Earth Day!
Create recycled binoculars (or another recycled craft)
Use empty toilet paper rolls to create binoculars. These are always a hit with kids!

Yay, for Earth Day! Love your list, Keri. We’ve got some yard work to do today so I think we’ll use that as our activity for the day.
Great ideas, Keri! We might do the scavenger hunt today – my girls did an indoor one a few weeks ago and couldn’t stop talking about it!
Thank you!
We plan to do the scavenger hunt in a bit! Happy Earth Day!
Yay! Hope it was fun!
I love these activities! I will be making binoculars with Caroline soon! 🙂
