Fall clean your home in 14 days with this challenge!
Ready to fall clean your home in 14 days? As we get closer to the holiday season, this is the perfect time to do a little cleaning. I am joining Jaclyn from Coffee, Pancakes, and Dreams for a Mini Cleaning Challenge! These fourteen tasks are all simple and quick but tend to be neglected from time to time.
Do this fourteen-day challenge and then implement these tasks into your regular schedule.
If you want a room at a time cleaning schedule, make sure to check out the Spring Cleaning Guide.
Fall Clean Your Home in 14 Days
Day 1: Wipe down door handles
Use your favorite cleaning spray to wipe down the door handles inside and outside.
Day 2: Dust the ceiling fans.
Consider using a long dusting pole, so you can easily dust the fans.
Day 3: Clean your oven.
Cleaning an oven is never fun, but it is necessary, especially before all of the holiday cooking!
Day 4: Wipe the front of and on top of the kitchen cabinets.
Use your all-purpose spray to wipe these areas down.
Day 5: Vacuum under the beds
You could involve your kids with this one! They may find some hidden treasures under the beds.
Day 6: Wash the bedding.
We usually wash our sheets every Friday but the comforters not as often. This is a great time to wash everything.
Day 7: Replace toothbrushes
If you have not replaced your toothbrushes in a while, take a minute to do so! You could even grab some extras to have on hand.
Day 8: Wash shower curtain and liner.
Take a minute to wash your shower curtain and decide if you need a new liner. I am loving the washable shower curtain liners!
Day 9: Clean out your medicine cabinet.
This is a great time to go through the medicine cabinet. Toss what is expired and make sure you are stocked up for cold and flu season.
Day 10: Vacuum under your couch cushions.
This area can often get neglected. Makes sure to tackle any chair cushions too!
Day 11: Wash rugs or schedule a carpet cleaning.
Follow the directions for care on your rugs and get them clean. You can easily rent carpet cleaners so you can quickly clean the carpets.
Day 12: Clean the air vents
Vacuum and wipe down the air vents. If you need to replace your air filter, do this at this time.
Day 13: Sweep the front porch.
Sweep and clean up the front porch. Remove anything that is not seasonally appropriate anymore.
Day 14: Vacuum your car.
This is always the least favorite task but it has become a chore for our boys! Make sure to wipe down the inside of the car too.
