A fall scavenger hunt is a great way to have family fun without having to spend money. We really enjoy our seasonal scavenger hunts and it is always fun to see the kids searching for all of the things.
You can either have fun searching around your own backyard, your neighborhood or a park. With this scavenger hunt, there is the picture and the word so non-readers can enjoy it too!

First print off the free printable.
I like to print one for each child or you could have one for your whole family to work on. The printable is sized at 8.5 x 11 so it should easily print at home on regular paper.

- Printable Fall Scavenger Hunt
- Pen or Marker
- Binoculars– Not needed but a fun addition if you have them
If you have a laminator, you can laminate the printables. This way you could use them more than once and use a dry erase marker to mark them.
Have fun hunting for all of the things!
If you do not live in a great spot to search, consider heading to a local park that will have more trees and options. Try to think about what fall looks like in your area and focus on finding those things! We do not always find a lot of changing leaves here in the south, but we can find a lot of leaves on the ground!
While we do our scavenger hunt, we like to collect leaves to look over at the end. It is always fun to see the different shapes, sizes, and colors of the leaves. After you check out the leaves, you could make leaf rubbings with them!
