Reading is a favorite hobby around here and part of our bedtime routines. We have been implementing more of a bedtime routine for our toddler in preparation for her switch to a big girl bed. During our reading time, she has started to have a collection of favorite books. It is really fun to see what books she gravitates towards.
Eight Silly Monkeys– She loves this book and I think the fact that it has a similar rhythm throughout it helps. The little monkeys are also super cute and 3D which she loves.
Doggies– This is a simple counting book that incorporates dogs. If you have a dog loving kid, this book is a winner.
Today I’ll Be a Princess– This book is so cute for little girls. It pretty much sums up the life of my little girl.
Thank You God, for Grandpa & Thank You God, for Grandma– We were recently given these books and they quickly became favorites. The pictures are beautiful and the animals are so cute that kids just love them! Head on over to Instagram today for a chance to win this set!
I am still reading Still Waiting and Uninvited every evening. We have about a thirty minute section of our evening where the kids watch a cartoon before we start bedtime routines. My husband and I usually sit on the couch with the kids and it is such a relaxing time. For a while, I was getting on my phone and catching up on email or social media. However, I started putting the phone down and reading and it has been amazing. It was another great reminder for me that we do have time to do the things we love, we just have to limit our phone time or take a look at what is filling our time.
