I had a great idea to invite a bunch of friends to head to the local waterpark this week. The one that is little kid friendly is about 30 minutes away so we loaded up and headed that way only to find out it was closed since it was back to school week! Since we were already over that way and right by the beach, we decided to change plans and head to the beach. It was my first time this summer with all three kids by myself at the beach and was a success! I’m sure it helped having my friends there and their kids to swim and have fun with my kids. It was such a fun day and reminded me of the importance of getting out of my house and doing things! I can get so caught up in our routines, that I forget to savor and enjoy these days!
Back to School
The boys started back to school yesterday! We are slowly getting back into the routine of things and enjoying the structure. The little years fly by, mamas. I know they may not seem like they do, but trust me, they do. I have two more years with my daughter before she heads to school so I am savoring every single second with her! Side Note: I saw this adorable felt princess idea and know we need to make these this fall!
We have a three day weekend because of the solar eclipse! Charleston is one of the cities that will experience the total solar eclipse so they cancelled school for the day! My husband tells me that he has read there are going to be millions of people here this weekend, so as much as I wanted a beach day this weekend, we may be staying around home. There are countless parties and gatherings all over town for the eclipse. It has been interesting to watch. Our local library had the cutest craft this week for the kids focused on the solar eclipse so we are enjoying the excitement leading up to the moment!
