Check out the Friday Favorites from the week!
Friday Favorites is all about Bible Recap, goals, and a few other things this week! While Christmas is over, we still have one more Christmas with my inlaws next week. Before then, we have a little time to rest and prep for the week ahead. As usual, I am sharing some favorites from the week in home, family, and all things mom life!

ONE | Christmas
I can hardly believe that Christmas is over. As excited as I was to decorate, I am now just as excited to take down the decor. However, I will miss the twinkling tree. We had a really wonderful Christmas. This year, we spent some time at my sister’s house the weekend before Christmas and then we were home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was so nice to have a slow and relaxing day at home. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
TWO | The Bible Recap
Recently, I heard about the Bible Recap and immediately I loved everything about it! At the start of 2019, I was reading through the Bible using the Read Scripture app which I really have liked. But I am really looking forward to trying this approach. You can learn more about it here and listen to an interview with Tara Leigh here.
Basically, you start on January 1st (or whenever) and read through the Bible chronologically following a plan they share. Then every day, you can listen to the recap of what you read in the Bible Recap podcast! I am so excited to start this! Learn how you can start it here. And let me know if you join up!
THREE | New Year’s Eve
We will be arriving at my sister-in-law’s house on New Year’s Eve to spend a few days with her. Since having kids, my husband and I have been fans of having this night be low key and staying at home. Last year, we started some new traditions with this and it has become such a fun night! I am looking forward to bringing some of the traditions to do with my niece next week! Check out the New Year’s Eve family activities and the printable pack.
FOUR | Goals
Do you set goals? I have loved setting goals every year. This year, I am changing things up a bit. First, I am not ordering Powersheets. While I know everyone loves them, I have realized that all I really like them for is the start of the year prep work and the monthly goals sheet. I really wanted to find a way to combine my goals and my planner so I do not have two planner type items around. So this year, I am going to be using a Happy Planner and adding in some insert pages for goals from the Knockout Print Shop. I will share more about the setup soon! I am also using the Cultivate an Intentional Year Guide to help me plan for the year ahead! Check it out in the shop!
FIVE | Books to Kick the Year Off With
I have two books that I am kicking the year off with. One is Rhythms of Renewal by Rebekah Lyons and the Other is When Less Becomes More by Emily Ley. Both of these books seem like great options to kick off the year with! What books will you be reading?
