Using a goal-setting printable for kids helps your kids get motivated for the new year.
Goal setting with kids is something that I want to focus on this New Year’s eve. Since my kids are in elementary school and middle school, it seems like a great time to have them intentionally think about the upcoming year. We have talked a lot to the kids about goals over this past year as they have had to learn to be flexible with life.
Having a family goal-setting night is a great way to kick off the new year!

Goal Setting Printable For Kids + Helpful Tips
Make this a fun thing!
Kids will follow your lead so seem excited about this. You could do this on a special date with your child or have a fun family night where everyone works on goals. Have ice cream sundaes or make your own pizzas together. Make this a celebration of entering into the new year!
Use some structure for setting the goals.
It may feel overwhelming if you announce you will be setting goals. Instead, use a printable goal setting sheet that has some basic ideas to help them get thinking.
Let go of control with this.
If your kids are old enough to read and write, encourage them to set their own goals. Encourage them and speak the truth to them. If they seem stuck, you can offer encouraging suggestions but give them space to see what they come up with on their own. Have them brainstorm on a piece of paper to get started.
Once your child has come up with their goals, have them write them down. We are using a printable goal-setting worksheet to write these on.
