HEROES OF THE BIBLE: JOSHUA & RAHAB ACTIVITIES
READ: THE WARRIOR LEADER (JOSHUA 2 & 6)
If the hero is featured in the Jesus Storybook Bible, I share which story to read. There are also the chapters in the Bible that focus on this hero’s story. Do not feel like you have to read all of the chapters shared. Instead, take time to read it and pull out truths and main points. In the activity pack, there is a “Tying it Together” sheet that gives parents the main points and questions to ask.
VERSE: JOSHUA 1:9
Cut out the verse card for Joshua and Rahab and place it somewhere central for your family to review. Use the verse coloring sheet to color or paint and then the kids can place it in their rooms.
CREATE: TRUMPETS
Use empty toilet paper rolls to create little trumpets. Your kids will love coloring and decorating these!
ACTION: MARCHING
Have your kids march around with the trumpets!
HANDS-ON: BUILD JERICHO AND ACT OUT JOSHUA AND RAHAB
Use whatever blocks you have to build Jericho and act out the story.
SNACK: CHEESE, PRETZELS, GRAPES
Using pretzel sticks, grapes, and cheese cubes have your kids make little weights and talk about strength.
FAMILY NIGHT: LEGO TIME OR BLOCKS
Have fun building together as a family!
SENSORY BIN: BEANS & SUPERHEROES
Print off the superheroes that are in the activity pack. Then cut them out and hide them in a sensory bin of black beans.
