Learn how to declutter your kitchen with these tips!
Wondering how to declutter your kitchen? The kitchen can be an overwhelming place because it holds so many different tools. This is the hub of the home. When you get this space clutter-free, you will feel motivated to declutter your whole home!
How to Declutter Your Kitchen
Break your kitchen down into zones.
Instead of trying to tackle your entire kitchen at once, it can be helpful to break it down into zones. For example:
- Under the Sink
Then do one zone a day as you work through decluttering.
Remove everything from the zone you are decluttering.
You must remove everything from the space so you can see what you have. You may be shocked to see that you have way too many spatulas or little medicine cups.
Sort into keep, donate, and trash piles.
As you go through your items, sort them into these three piles: keep, donate, and trash.
Put everything back and store similar items together.
As you put everything back, store similar items together and near where they will be used. For example, I started putting my silverware by the dishwasher because it makes it so easy to empty the dishwasher.

Tips for the Different Zones
1. Use storage designed for under the kitchen sink.
I love using this basket system. It stores my cleaning rags and extra hand soap and dish soap.
2. Use lazy susans.
Our pantry is extremely deep. We are using some lazy susans to help corral items together.
3. Keep similar items together in the fridge.
Instead of throwing everything in the fridge, consider using containers that can help keep items together. This will help you see where all of the yogurts are or all of the fruit.
