Gather items to wash
You will want to wash rugs, bath mats, shower curtains, and towels.
Walls/Backsplash
Wipe down walls with a microfiber cloth using warm water and a little dish soap.
Cabinets
Wipe down cabinets/drawer fronts with your microfiber cloth and a 50/50 water and vinegar spray.
Countertops
Remove everything from the space. Wipe down countertops with an all-purpose spray and a microfiber cloth. If you have granite countertops, do NOT use vinegar.
The Toilet
Using a toilet bowl cleaner and scrub brush, scrub the inside toilet bowl being sure to clean completely around the underside of the rim. Allow the cleaner to sit while you clean the outside of the toilet. Since we are deep cleaning, you will want to get into all of the little spaces. You can use a steamer or a toothbrush with either a water/vinegar mixture or a water/bleach mixture.
Boy Moms- (I see you and know the struggle), make a paste of baking soda and water. Spread it around the bottom of the toilet seat and any other spaces where you know things get sprayed. Let it dry and then spray it with the vinegar mixture and wipe it down. Wipe down the toilet and toilet seat with a microfiber cloth and the vinegar/water mix.
The Shower and Tub
Clean the shower and bathtub with your favorite cleaner. I love Method’s Foaming Tub Cleaner. Use a scrub brush to clean tough areas.
Light Fixtures and Switches
Dust all light fixtures and wipe down light switches with an all-purpose spray.
Windows and Window Treatments
Take down and wash any curtains. I like to use a blind cleaner to clean the blinds.
Clean your windows using a microfiber cloth and polishing cloth. You can use your favorite window cleaner or make your own. If you have windows that can flip open to clean the outside part, do that too.
Open up the window to clean the window tracks. You can use a toothbrush and cloth for this.
Flooring
Clean the baseboard with a soapy water mixture. Sweep or vacuum the floor and then mop.
Repeat for all of the bathrooms.
Repeat this process for all of the bathrooms in your home. You do not need to do this all in one day.
