Spring Clean Your Bedroom
It is that time of the year again when we start spring cleaning our homes. I always love starting in the bedrooms because they are all pretty similar so it is an easy zone to check off first.
Grab the Spring Cleaning Guide. It has tips and printable checklists for each room.

Gather Your Supplies
- Spring Cleaning Guide Checklists
- Duster
- Vacuum
- Floor Cleaner (if you have hardwood floors)
- Blind Cleaner
- Microfiber Cleaning Cloth
- All Purpose Spray (use your favorite your make your own)
- Dish soap (This can be used to wipe down the walls if needed. Add a few drops of dish soap into a bucket of water)
- Toothbrush
- Baking Soda
Walls
Use dish soap and warm water to wipe any marks off the walls or clean dusty areas. I like to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for stubborn stains. However, make sure to test it on a small area first to make sure it does not mess up the paint.
You can use a vacuum attachment to clean up any cobwebs.
Dust
Make sure to remove everything from surfaces and then dust or wipe down the surface. Remember to dust light fixtures, furniture, and fans too!
Windows and Window Treatments
Take down and wash any curtains. I like to use a blind cleaner to clean the blinds.
Clean your windows using a microfiber cloth and polishing cloth. You can use your favorite window cleaner or make your own. If you have windows that can flip open to clean the outside part, do that too.
Open up the window to clean the window tracks. You can use a toothbrush and cloth for this.

Baseboards
Use a cloth and dish soap and water to clean the baseboards.
Flooring
Vacuum the carpet or flooring. Make sure to get under the furniture, especially the bed as this can be a very dusting spot.
If you have laminate or hardwood floors, clean them after you vacuum. I love to use this system or this mop.
Mattress and Bedding
Remove all of the bedding and wash. Clean your mattress by sprinkling baking soda over the mattress and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes. Using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum, vacuum the mattress. Make sure it is completely clean and dry before putting the bedding back on.
Repeat for all of the bedrooms.
Repeat this process for all of the bedrooms in your home. You do not need to do this all in one day. You could clean room by room or clean all of the mattresses one day and then all of the baseboards the next, etc.
