It is that time of the month where I choose five things that are bringing me joy to share. As I said last month, I love this idea and it naturally flows with my optimistic mentality. There is something so powerful about choosing to pick out the good in every day life. It really will change your entire attitude.

Washer and Dryer

This feels like such an adult thing to say, but it is the truth. Over the summer our washer started acting crazy. Then my sister-in-law got a new washer and dryer, leaving their still very nice washer and dryer available. They said we could have them and brought them to us a couple weekends ago. Honestly, they have brought me so much joy! We had an older washer and dryer before and laundry took forever. Now, it is finished so quickly and I just love it!!! Also, I have washed my washable rug in them a few time and just incredible. All the rugs in my home need to be washable.

Bringing Me Joy- Laundry

She Reads Truth Bible

I received this Bible a few weeks ago to check out. I am a big fan of the She Reads Truth site and love their daily devotionals- perfect for mamas. The Bible is absolutely gorgeous. Pretty things bring me joy so this is a definite yes! My only negative side (and I just say this to be honest in case you want to purchase one) is that the pages are super thin.  I have not written in it yet because the pages are so thin. I am going to research and see if there is a specific pen that may work well.

Trunk or Treat

Every year our church hosts a Trunk or Treat. All of the small groups and ministry teams help put it on and it is a blast. It is also crazy busy and full of so many people. The trunks are decorated to perfection and the themes are what my kids just love. This year our small group had glow in the dark bowling and ring toss again. My kids had a great time there as always! It brings me so much joy to be a part of such a beautiful church community.

Tea

My friend Michelle, mailed me this Ginger Turmeric Tea a few weeks ago and it is absolutely delicious. She purchased it from Trader Joe’s and I am trying to plan a time to drive to our Trader Joe’s to get some myself. While it really is probably only 20 miles away the traffic and bridges make it take way longer, so it is something I need to plan for. Having a cup of tea every evening is something that brings me joy. There is something so soothing about a cup of hot tea at the end of a long day.  P.S. I did find it on Amazon (affiliate link) so if you do not have a Trader Joe’s near by, here you go

Fall Weather

It is finally cold enough that I can wear leggings, boots, and scarves without sweating! Hooray for cooler weather! And by cooler I mean it is in the 60s but hey, in the south that is fall so I am embracing it.  I am currently on the hunt for some cute fall clothing that is cozy to wear around home but still looks nice too.

  1. We’re in the same boat with Trader Joe’s. It’s in one of the busier parts of Nashville, and it’s always packed, so I have to really, really want something to fight the traffic and crowds! The tea sounds delicious though!

Also, I’m so out of touch with kid costumes because I have no idea what your boys are dressed as! It’s probably something super obvious too! =)
