Looking for easy Lego activities for your kids? These four activities are all super simple and fun for kids to build and create!
We love playing with Lego bricks. My brother gave the kids two huge containers of his Lego bricks so there are plenty to use for easy Lego activities. I love how it gives us opportunity to be creative through building. These Lego activities have been done by my boys who are ages nine and six.
Tip: If you are going to dump out the Legos, lay a large blanket or sheet down first and then dump the Legos on this. When you go to clean up, just gather the edges of the sheet up so you can pour the Legos into the container from the sheet.
4 Easy Lego Activities for Kids
We have built Lego mazes with Duplo blocks and regular Lego Bricks. You can either build the maze to hold a marble to go through or build it so you can drive a car through it. It is harder to use the marble to move through the maze. Encourage your kids to try different designs.
Lego Fidget Spinner
This was a Lego activity from last year as the boys were obsessed with fidget spinners. We did a very basic design and had great success! We followed this easy fidget spinner tutorial.
Lego Wind Cars
If you have a large fan, then you are set for this activity! The boys each built a car and then we used a skewer and paper to make a sail for the car. It is so much fun to watch the wind from the fan push the cars across the floor. We used this picture for inspiration.
Lego Zip line
To create a Lego zip line you need some string or yarn. We have taped the string to the wall (higher up) and then bring it down to the ground or a chair on an angle. You can play around with the angle to see what works best. Then the boys build their little Lego item that will fly down the zip line. We followed this tutorial but then the boys had fun making their own.
With each of these Lego activities, the kids are able to experiment with what works best. It provides for great opportunity to remind your kids to keep trying and remain patient when something does not work like they expected.
