You can print off the free printable here or make a list of items for your kids to find. I like to have pictures and words so that kids who cannot read yet, can look at the pictures.
Gather your supplies and head on a walk!
It is helpful to use clipboards to hold the scavenger hunt printable but it is not necessary. Make sure you have a marker or pen so you can circle or cross off the items you find.
Decided ahead of time whether you will work as a team or individually.
If your neighborhood does not have all of the items, consider taking a drive and doing the hunt from the car.
At the end of the walk, talk about what you found and for bonus fun, have a family treat. Some of our favorite family treats are ice cream, popsicles, smoothies, or popcorn!
