We have done a variety of methods with this. You can encourage everyone to find everything on the scavenger hunt or you could say fill up the first row to get a prize. Another option is to do teams and pair up younger kids with older kids or parents.

With the Super Bowl, I always like to have some fun food and keep things fairly low key. We usually just hang as a family and that way we can put the younger kids to bed when they need to.
