6 Rhythms I Use to Stay Organized
1. Paper Planner
In a digital world, I still am a fan of a paper planner. I have found a daily planner to be my favorite because it helps keep me focused. I can write out my schedule, and have my top 3 tasks, and other tasks listed. Currently, I am using a Day Designer daily planner, however, I am considering using the new Season by Season Planner as I love how there are so many goal-setting tools within it.
With a planner, you have to set up a rhythm so that you use it regularly. One thing that works for me, is to keep all of the important dates in the monthly view of my calendar. Then every Sunday, I sit down and go through my upcoming week and write out the important appointments, work plans, sports info, etc on each day.

2. Daily Rhythms
While this is not a tangible tool, this is key! Rhythms help us and our kids in so many ways. Set up a morning, after school, and evening rhythm and you will find that it helps you.
Everyone’s rhythm will look different. The key is to plan out your own and adjust as needed.
3. A Meal Plan
When you have a weekly meal plan, you will eliminate so much stress because there will not be a dinnertime panic about what to eat. I love to use my paper meal planner to map out our meals for the week. Every morning I quickly look at what dinner is for that night so I can do quick prep if needed.

4. Digital Planning
As much as I love a paper planner, I do also embrace digital planning. As the kids have gotten older and become more involved in things, I have found it extremely helpful to use a digital calendar as well.
Currently, we just use our iPhone calendars, however I know many people love Google Calendar and Cozi Family Calendar.
I put all appointments, sports games, practices, school dates, and work meetings in my iPhone calendar and I can invite my husband to necessary events so he can see. I can also invite my teenager so he can have a view of important events.
For blogging, I love using Asana to stay organized and on top of things!
5. Cleaning Rhythms
One of the most common questions I hear is how do I keep my house clean? This can e a struggle but I have found it helpful to create cleaning rhythms. I have 5 cleaning tasks that I do daily. This sounds like a lot but it can be done in under 10 minutes.

6. Landing Zones
Creating landing zones within my home is key to keeping things organized. Essentially, you want to give everything a home. This may look like hooks for bookbags, a spot for keys, a basket for remotes, etc. Read more about how you can create landing zones within your home.
These six rhythms help me stay organized. What rhythms are you going to incorporate?

Fabulous and helpful ideas! Love it! I never thought to quickly wipe down bathrooms daily. I’ll be working that into my routine.
