Sharing my September 2023 goals as a form of accountability and encouragement.

To be honest, I did not really focus on any goals over the summer. My overall goal was to be present and enjoy. Writing and all of the extra things took a backseat.
With the return of the kids to school, comes regular rhythms where I have more space and time to write. My plan is to share my goals monthly in this space throughout the rest of 2023.
I love using Powersheets to map out my goals and have a physical space to see them. I use the monthly calendar grid in the Powersheets to plan out my writing and Instagram content.

September 2023 Goals
Monthly Action Items
Go through photos on my phone April-August.
At the start of the year, I would go through my phone on the 1st of the month and delete what was not needed. However, I got out of the habit of this.
Read 1 nonfiction and 1 fiction book.
I love reading and am always healthier when I make time for it. I have joined Jess Connolly’s book club and will be reading Why Am I Like This in September.
For the fiction book, I have a list I put on hold at the library.
Create a plan for baby books for the kids.
My oldest has a partially finished baby book and that is where it all stopped. For Christmas, I want to gift each of the kids with a photo book of photos of their first year.
Plan out photos on the wall.
I love how Erin does this! Perhaps it is having a freshman in high school, but lately, I have felt an urge to celebrate our moments.
Have one planned family fun activity.
Life can get so busy, especially in the fall. I want to carve out time to do something fun, just the five of us.
Make a fall wreath.
Yes, I have already started decorating for fall. I like to start now since I decorate for Christmas in early November.
Work with the kids on their laundry.
Each month I want to have something I am working on with the kids. This month I want to work on them putting their own clothes away.
