Create a simple summer schedule with these easy themed days!
You can make a simple summer schedule that will help your family thrive this summer! I am all about simplicity, especially during the summer, which is why I am loving this simple summer schedule! When my oldest was younger, we followed this and it worked like gold. I had forgotten all about it until a friend was talking about how they did a similar thing and it brought back all of the memories. You can get the free planner printable here. Then grab the summer activity kit which includes 25 activity ideas for each day!
How to Make a Simple Summer Schedule
Keep it simple.
It seems obvious, but we need the reminder. There was a summer about five years ago when I overly planned. I had multiple activities per day and it resulted in me feeling completely overwhelmed. The next summer we decided to aim for one fun activity a day and some days it is as simple as blowing bubbles.
Take it a week at a time.
It is impossible to know how the summer days are going to flow right now. We really do not know until we are in the thick of it. Instead of planning it all out now, take it a week at a time. One thing that worked well for us was to plan on Sundays. This allowed me to do a little prep if needed and look at the weather in case we were planning for outside activity.
Have fun!
We have 18 summers with each child before they leave the home. Time is so limited so with the time that we have, let’s let go, relax, and have fun! Trust me, you will not regret the time well spent.
There are countless themed summer schedules out there but this has been a favorite in our home! I am excited to introduce it to my younger two this year!
You can grab the free printable to use to plan your own activities for each day! I am going to put mine in a frame so I can use it as a whiteboard.
