Let’s prepare for Halloween so we are not overwhelmed and can enjoy the night with our kids!
Are you ready to prepare for Halloween? No matter what holiday it is, I have found it essential to take some time to prep. Life gets busy and time can easily get filled up. Take some time now to go through this list to prepare.

Simple Ways to Prepare for Halloween
Decide on the costumes
Take some time now to decide what costumes your kids will wear and where you will purchase them. Honestly, your child will probably try to change their mind a million times.
Talk to them about making a decision and other ideas can be saved for later.
Get the candy
Candy is expensive! One thing that can help is to shop for it over the whole month of October. I like to grab a bag each time I go to the store and then put it away!
Write down all important dates in your calendar
I do not know about you but October is a busy month here with school events and sports. I have found it helpful to keep a monthly calendar where I can write everything down. This also helps me limit what we say yes to.
Plan out any family traditions you want to make time for this season
Do you want to go to the pumpkin patch? Do you want to carve pumpkins? Look at your calendar and plan these events now so you can make sure to protect the time for them! Check out these fun family activities!
Prepare a Boo Basket
If you plan to put together a Boo Basket, take some time now to prepare everything. Get your printables for the Boo Basket and all of your supplies.

Label everything!
This is another time that labels from Name Bubbles come in handy! Label your child’s candy bucket and all parts of their costume. If they are dressing up and heading to school, it is helpful to have things labeled.
I love using Name Bubbles labels as they are sturdy and work on everything!

Plan for an easy dinner on the night of trick or treating.
Before heading out trick or treating or to a trunk or treat, have a quick and easy dinner. Last year we had chili for the adults and mummy hotdogs for the kids. It was so fun and simple! This would be a great time to make the Pumpkin Chili!

Pack a trick-or-treating bag.
My kids always get so thirsty walking around the neighborhood so this year, we are packing a light bag with water bottles.
