Having a skin care routine has become an important rhythm that I practice. Honestly, I did not always practice the best skin care. In fact, I have shared before that I would even neglect to wash my face. I know, it is a horrible thing.
However, the older I get, the more I realize the importance of caring for my skin. This means I am learning to implement new practices and carve out the small moments to focus on my skin. While it may seem so simple to some, I know some moms are reading this and nodding their heads. We never intend to let go of the simple things, yet in the midst of motherhood, it can happen.

Creating a Skin Care Routine
The most easy thing we can do is drink water. Personally, I love this water bottle and make it a goal to drink a full one every day. Make it a goal to intake more water to help care for your skin.
Try different things to see what works best.
There is going to be some trial and error with skincare. Everyone has different skin and it takes time figuring out what works best. I suggest taking some time to try different products.
Remember to care for the area around your eyes.
My eyes are where my tiredness can show up. I was recently given an eye mask to try and have been loving it. It is O2M Oxygen Eye Mask and leaves the area around my eyes feeling so refreshed! It helps moisture the area and reduces fine lines. Personally, I have really loved using these and put them on before I go to bed. You can leave them on for up to 8 hours (and I am definitely not sleeping longer than 8 hours). When you wake up, just remove them and you are good to go.
They also have an eye spray that you can use to help reduce wrinkles and moisture the area around the eye.
Have regular rhythms.
For example, I have “face mask Sunday” as a regular rhythm. This means that every Sunday night, I put on a face mask. It is the most simple rhythm but always makes me feel ready for a fresh week. Another rhythm is washing my face in the morning and evening. The more you practice these habits, the more they become established as regular rhythms.
These little tips are what helps me establish a better skincare routine! What are some tips you have to share?
