Summer Essentials for Moms
Sunscreen
Do you use sunscreen regularly? Honestly, I did not care for my skin well in my younger years. Over the past decade, I have been focusing more on it. Sunscreen has become an essential. I love using Honest Tinted Moisturizer daily.
For days when I am by the pool or beach, I am currently liking Sun Bum.
Beach or Pool Bag
Are you heading to the beach or pool this year? Having a quality bag to hold all of the things is helpful! One thing I am loving this year is having a separate bag inside the bag to hold individually packed snacks. It helps to keep everything in one place.
Go ahead and put band-aids, sunscreen, and chapstick in the bag so you just have to add the other items the day of.
I love my beach towel from Tesalate. It is easy to keep clean and many cute design options exist. Make sure you have enough beach towels per family member.
Water Bottle
Having a reusable water bottle is helpful in all seasons, especially in the summer. Currently, I love my water bottle from Simple Modern as it keeps the water cold and does not spill.
Comfortable Athletic Clothes
In this current season of summer, I have noticed more of an athletic style. Have comfortable sports bras that can work for your comfortable outfits whether you are on the go or working out.
A Good Book
The final thing to have is a good book. Summer is a great time to dive into reading. The library is a great place to find books to borrow without the cost. You could even do a summer reading challenge with friends for fun!
What would you add to this list? The final thing I would add is to embrace the season. Summer is a unique time and it can be filled with ups and downs. Give yourself and your kids grace and soak it in!
I bought a pair of biker shorts too! Good option for hanging out in the yard or taking hikes.

I️’m kind of loving the biker shorts trend! I️ need to check these out. Also, love the water bottle – I️’m trying to make sure I️ drink enough, especially when I️’m outside most of the day with the kids!

Still haven’t gotten a pair of biker shorts yet but really think I need a pair! They take me back to my childhood when life was so much more simple. Maybe if I buy them I’ll have fewer worries…you think?!
