Check out these ideas for summer reading for moms.
As we approach summer, I am already thinking about soaking in some summer reading. While summer reading for moms definitely looks different than summer reading pre-kids, it can still happen. There was a season that I spent a lot of time nursing a baby and reading a book. In another season, I read every night after the kids were in bed. Now, I am starting to find more pockets in the day where I can read while the kids play. Sometimes, we even all read at the same time! It is glorious!
I am working on making my own summer reading list, but these are ten books that are must-reads for moms in my opinion. There is a mixture of fiction and nonfiction. I have a huge stack of non-ficton to read this summer, so I need to add in some fiction.

Summer Reading for Moms
A Portrait of Emily Price– I love all of Katherine Reay’s books. If you have not checked them out, these should be first on your list!
Firefly Lane- I read this a few years ago and quickly became obsessed with the series. You will fall in love with the characters and story line.
Bittersweet- This is the perfect book for reading before bed. There is so much truth woven into the stories.
Count to Nine- I love finding a good parenting book. Ruthie is like a mom mentor to me- even miles apart! Her tips will help you as a mother.
The Glorious Ordinary– If you are looking for a devotional for your summer, this one is perfect. You will be challenged, inspired, and encouraged.
Why Just Survive When You Can Thrive- Shameless plug for my own book here! I wrote this book with mamas in mind. There are eight quick chapters full of tips for thriving as a mom.
The Kitchen House– This was one of those books that I did not want the story to end.
The Magic of Motherhood– I recently started reading this book and adore it. First, the design is lovely and I love a beautiful book. Second, it is full of encouraging and honest essays on motherhood. Within each chapter I am either crying, laughing, or nodding my head in agreement.
