Want to host a Truth in the Tinsel Swap Party but do not know where to start?! Here you go!
I love a good craft and my kids love to create so naturally I was drawn to Truth in the Tinsel. We tried it out one year and while I had good intentions, it just did not happen. As a mom of three little ones, with two in diapers, the last thing on my mind was searching for yellow construction paper and a toilet paper tube to make an ornament. It just did not happen.
The next year, I decided something had to change! I knew I wanted to do Truth in the Tinsel and that I just had to figure you the best way to make it work for my family.
How to make Truth in the Tinsel work without being overwhelmed?
You organize a Truth in the Tinsel swap party!
Gather a group of women who want to participate.
Share with the moms in your church, on Facebook, etc. Have a sign up where you can gather the email and number of children each mom has.
Have the moms purchase Truth in the Tinsel
They will each need to have the product so they can see what supplies are needed and to follow along.
Set a swap date & have moms sign up for one day!
Have each mom sign up for one day. Purchase supplies for that one craft for all of the children in the whole group.
Moms prepare the craft supplies and place in baggie labeled according to the appropriate day. For example, if there were 40 children, I would prepare 40 bags with the craft supplies inside to make for Day 1.
Gather together & Swap.
Have some snacks and set out the bags. We had spots for each day. Then every mom would walk and gather their items for all 24 days! Every mom should leave with 24 bags of days 1-24.
