Valentine’s Day family activities are some I am always on the lookout for. I love being able to use the month of February to focus on love as a family. As a mom of three, I am constantly reminding my kids to show love with their words and action so we can use an extra dose of a reminder this month!

Valentine’s Day Family Activities
Have a Bible verse to focus on.
There are countless verses on love. I have found it helpful to pick out one verse to focus on for the month as a family. 1 John 3:18 has been a favorite of mine. Throughout the course of February, talk about the verse as a family and ways that you can show love to each other.
Stick hearts on your kids’ bedroom doors.
I love this idea from Miss Sue Living! She even has some printable hearts which makes this even easier!
Decorate hearts together.

Make Valentine’s Day dinner.
On Valentines’s Day, I love to have a special family dinner. During dinner, we talk about what we love about each family member. It is always such a fun way to celebrate together.
Have a tasty treat together!

Play a Heart Game
Cut some hearts out of card stock. Then hide them in your house and have your kids find them. Take turns hiding and finding them! My kids love playing this game!
Make Valentine’s Play Dough
My kids love play-dough. It is always a hit! I love this cute printable and idea for a play dough valentine from Coffee, Pancakes, and Dreams. This would be fun to make with my kids or to surprise them with!
Use Family Valentines
A favorite tradition of our family has been to make family valentine’s mailboxes. We use brown lunch bags to make these and then over the course of the month put little notes in each other’s mailboxes. It is such a fun activity and always draws us closer together. Check out how to set this up!
Have a scavenger hunt.
Kids will love having a scavenger hunt this month! See the free printable cards here.
