Make a super bowl nacho bar for some tasty food during the big game!
A super bowl nacho bar is a fun way to set up some snacks during the game. We always love to keep our super bowl gathering pretty low key and family-focused. Sometimes we add in a little game as well. As the kids have gotten older, it has been fun to see them get into the game. Our oldest is a big Chiefs fan so he is extremely excited for this game.
Naturally, my favorite part of the night is the food. Even though we stay home and keep it low key, we make a strong focus on having good food.
Today I’ll share how we set up a super bowl nacho bar plus some other fun ideas!
Thank you to Happy Everything for gifting me the bowl in this post.
Super Bowl Nacho Bar
Gather your ingredients.
- Tortilla Chips
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Sour Cream
- Chicken or Beef
- Tortilla Shells (these are fun to have in case someone wants to make a taco)
Set everything up.
Most of the ingredients do not need much prepping. You can make guacamole or buy some from the store. The main thing is to prep the chicken ahead of time. I like to use shredded taco chicken. To do this, put a few boneless skinless chicken breasts in the crockpot on low for 8 hours or high for 4hours. Add in some salsa and taco seasoning and let it cook. When it is finished, shred it and let it cook a few more minutes. Then are ready with the perfect nacho topping!
Use some cute serving bowls.
I love adding in a little touch of fun via the table. This year, I am excited to use our big bowl from Happy Everything with the football attachment. It adds just the right touch of fun to the table.
These bowls are so fun because you can switch up the look of it by choosing a different attachment.
Let everyone enjoy!
Have everyone take turns making their nacho plate or taco. Have fun with this! Ask others what they would want to include in it!
