Looking for Christmas decorating inspiration? Don’t miss this Cozy Holiday Home Tour with simple Christmas decor ideas.
The cozy holiday home tour is full of some incredible home decor ideas from a group of bloggers. We all love decorating and sharing easy and simple decor ideas so it seemed like a great idea to do a home tour together!
With decorating, I am all about simple and affordable. I tend to be pretty practical (thanks to my grandma), so I am constantly looking for ways to use what I have.
Since our home is smaller, I like to be intentional with what I decorate and how I decorate. I tend to lean towards the farmhouse style. This year I added in some buffalo plaid here and there.

Entry Way
I am always a big fan of a wreath. I normally make my own using Christmas tree scraps and a wire wreath frame (like this). I have a goal to make a wreath next year with different types of greenery!
The Christmas Tree
We are a real Christmas tree family all the way. Growing up in Michigan, a real Christmas tree was part of the experience. While there are not any true Christmas tree farms down in Charleston, we started getting a real tree every year from the pop-up Christmas tree “farms” that set up around town.
Normally we have multi-color lights but this year we went with all white. I love it because I think it is so peaceful, but I am pretty sure my kids prefer multi-color. I added in some thick yarn and I like it (last year we did some burlap style ribbon). Our tree holds ornaments of all kinds and it is my favorite with how unique it is.
The Mantle
Every year, I have fun decorating our mantle. Last year, I started adding in some greenery by snipping some of the Christmas tree branches to add to the mantle. I really like this touch and it is a great way to get the look of the garland.
Advent Candles
I shared about this on social media, but I have loved using these battery-operated candles for advent this year. It has been a great visual for us!
We also have our Glory + Wonder banner hanging up.
Adding Touches of Christmas Here and There
Add a wreath- Wreaths are so fun and such a great and simple way to add a little Christmas to space. I added one to our command center. This wreath was found at the Dollar Store!
Change out a sign- You can always switch out a sign for a Christmas sign!
Christmas Traditions
I love mixing in traditions into the decor like our DIY advent candles and paper chain countdown!
Involving the kids in decorating!
This year, each of the kids set up a tree in their room. It has been fun to see them decorate it and to have fun with this!

Involving the kids in the decorating is such a great idea. I feel like it really makes them embrace the season and appreciate the traditions you’re building in your home. Great job!
Thanks so much Tiffany, I agree it really gets them excited about it all!
I️ love how you make your own greenery wreath – such a good idea! Your decor is so cozy and festive! 🙂
Thanks! I really have fun with it!
Love it Keri! I especially like your table centerpiece! And I love that you talk about including the kids in decorating.
Thanks so much! I am loving those candles so much! It has been a good meaningful addition.
I noticed the paper bag manger next to the kids Christmas tree. What a fun craft to do with kids and point them to the reason for this season!
Thanks! Yes, they loved doing that!
I love all of it! Everything looks so good! I hope you and your family have a merry Christmas!
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!
